With representation and funding from various
organizations, the Network has grown dramatically in the past ten years.
We offer a variety of programs for adults throughout West Hants,
including: Adult Learning Program classes (Levels 1, 2, 3, and 1/2) and tutoring programs are free to all adult learners and are funded through the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education(Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning and Labour Market Agreement). Learners may enter programs at any time throughout
the school year and work at their own pace. Small class size and individual instruction are
the hallmarks of the levels classes. All learners are assessed to
determine placement in the class that is right for them. All levels class instructors are qualified teachers who follow course material and outcomes prescribed by the Nova Scotia Department of
Labour and Advanced Education. The Hants Learning Network Association also provides basic
computer instruction through Computer
Literacy on the Move. This service is offered to residents of
Hants County at the Hants Community Hospital in Windsor.
